HEALTH FAIR
Star Valley Medical Center Health Fair draws will be located throughout the valley. Starting in April.

The dates that we will be drawing at the SVR  Town Hall are May 1st, and May 3 by appointment only from 6 am -10 am. Please call the Star Valley Medical Center Lab direct line to schedule your appointment in advance on these two days in  May at 885-5827.

They will be drawing again on May 30th at Town Hall from 6-10 a.m. this is the last draw site throughout the valley for the year.  This will be a first come first serve draw.  No appointments will be needed this day. 

 The tests that will be included in this year’s draw and prices are as follows:

Chemistry Profile-  This test requires fasting for 8-10 hours, unless diabetic.  Drink water take medications as usual.  Full 31 level screening for bone and electrolyte levels along with heart, kidney, live functions and lipids with cholesterol, protein, iron, glucose and thyroid levels.  $27

PSA for Men- Screening for prostate cancer.$20

C- Reactive Protein- Inflammatory Marker, provides information about a patient’s risk of heart disease. $20

Ferritin- Anemia and some liver diseases also  screening for hemochromatosis. $20

Vitamin D- Sunlight intake, lack can cause osteoporosis, depression risk of developing cancer and lower immune system function. $30

Testosterone-Testosterone levels start to decline after age 35 in men.  Low levels of testosterone can cause sexual dysfunction, sleep problems, depression, bone density changes and fatigue. $20

Hemogram or CBC- Complete blood count of red white cells and platelets, Also screens for anemia and leukemia. $10

Hemoglobin A1C- Measures blood sugar control for up to 3 months average.  This test is recommended for diagnosed diabetics and diabetic screening.  Includes an est. average daily glucose. $20.

ABO/Rh Typing- Knowing your blood type can help in emergencies, organ/tissue donation and even family history studies.  Your blood type does not change- if you have done this before, you don’t need to repeat. $15
